Medical Records Coder II; PRN

• Location:
  
  Remote (must reside in the state of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina)
• Status: PRN (non-benefit eligible)
• Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Days:
  Monday through Friday

• Assign diagnosis and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT-4 coding systems and monitor bill hold reports.
• Assist Manager/Director with mentoring/training of Coder I team members and clinical practice students from various colleges.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Preferred: CCS (Coding)
• Preferred: RHIT (Health Information)

• Required:
  
  high school or equivalent
• Preferred: associate degree in Health Information Management

• Required:
  
  2 years of Coding
