Job Description
Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) – Trauma Care (2500041W) at Tampa General Hospital (TGH). TGH is the only American College of Surgeons Verified Level I Trauma Center in the Tampa metro area and the busiest trauma center in Florida. The APP will join the Trauma Medical Care Service within the Division of Acute Care Surgery, University of South Florida.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide new patient evaluations and in‑patient follow‑up care.
- Communicate with families and coordinate care with social work and case management.
- Participate in process improvement projects and clinical coordination.
- Work autonomously under an annual protocol with a supervising physician.
Education
Master’s degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or Physician Assistant.
LicenseState‑issued Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant license (Florida or Compact State).
CertificationAcute Care or Adult Gerontology Acute Care certification for nursing, or nationally accredited Physician Assistant Board certification.
ExperienceExperience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant is preferred.
