Florida Woman Care, the largest OB/GYN group practice in the state of Florida, has a state of the art CAP-accredited lab in the Tampa area with specialists in GYN and Cytopathology to produce the highest quality diagnoses of laboratory specimens. We currently have over 200 medical offices and over 600 OB/GYN Providers throughout the state of Florida.
The Florida Woman Care Laboratory performs Histology, Cytology, Molecular Microbiology and Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT).
We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to oversee our laboratory's clinical daily operations, including chemistry, immunoassay, infectious disease, hematology, urinalysis, and blood bank subdisciplines, and assures compliance with all the regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Responsibilities- Supervise clinical laboratory technicians/technologists and laboratory assistants in the accessioning, processing, testing, and result review of clinical laboratory specimens.
- Provide backup for testing personnel in the laboratory.
- Prepare department for CAP and other inspections.
- Perform required quality assurance and compliance tasks.
- Participate in other projects and perform other duties as needed.
- Responsible for the overall performance of the clinical laboratory departments.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school in Clinical Laboratory Sciences/Medical Technology or related, preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in the field of clinical laboratory testing (chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, urinalysis, and blood bank) required.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) from a recognized certifying agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT), preferred.
- Florida State Licensure is not required
- Experience with Beckman-Coulter Instrumentation, preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of laboratory testing methodologies, instrumentation, and quality control procedures.
