Summary

This individual shall hold an Associate/Senior Member faculty physicist position with general requirements thereof. Given the distinct nature of proton therapy, an additional substantial emphasis is put on this leadership role as follows:

  • Provide leadership to the proton therapy physics section.
  • Oversee the team of physicists, dosimetrists, and technical staff involved in proton therapy
  • Oversee and ensure safe and accurate proton radiotherapy, through meticulous commissioning, calibration, quality assurance, treatment planning and delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and best practice standards.
  • Lead adoption of newly available proton therapy techniques.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of safety, workflow efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
  • Support clinical and translational research in proton therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Florida Medical License
  • Therapeutic Radiological Physicist State License or equivalent
  • Certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics or equivalent
