Summary
This individual shall hold an Associate/Senior Member faculty physicist position with general requirements thereof. Given the distinct nature of proton therapy, an additional substantial emphasis is put on this leadership role as follows:
- Provide leadership to the proton therapy physics section.
- Oversee the team of physicists, dosimetrists, and technical staff involved in proton therapy
- Oversee and ensure safe and accurate proton radiotherapy, through meticulous commissioning, calibration, quality assurance, treatment planning and delivery.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and best practice standards.
- Lead adoption of newly available proton therapy techniques.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of safety, workflow efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
- Support clinical and translational research in proton therapy.
Qualifications:
- Florida Medical License
- Therapeutic Radiological Physicist State License or equivalent
- Certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics or equivalent
