Summary
The Clinical Physicist I performs activities to assure the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy as prescribed by Radiation Oncology physicians. Clinical Physicist I will work under the supervision of licensed medical physicists and at the direction of the Director of Clinical Physics.
Qualifications- Minimum Education:
Bachelor s Degree Medical Physics or a related discipline - LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Physicist in Training Certificate - Minimum Experience

With the appropriate educational background this position can be an entry level position into the field of Medical Physics.
Specific Duties
- Linear Accelerator Quality Assurance:
Perform daily, weekly, monthly and annual quality assurance measurements and tests to verify proper performance of linear accelerators, brachytherapy units and any other clinical radiation producing equipment. - Dosimetry Planning and Quality Assurance:
Provide technical support to the dosimetry team. Physicist may also be required to generate dosimetry plans for specialty procedures and as a backup for dosimetrists. Perform quality assurance on completed plans ensuring they are accurate and meet planning objectives specified by the physician. - Other duties as assigned.
