Minimum Qualifications- Must possess a current US Passport with ability to travel and work overseas.
- Must meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements as per OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD Instruction 8523.01, and Air Force Manual 17-1301.
- Current DoD IAT certification Level 1 or above, or SEC+, NET+ certified, with Voice/Video Network Certification; CISCO certification preferred.
- Must possess a SECRET Security Clearance.
- Prior experience with design and implementation of upgrades and migrations for MARCENT voice, video, local, and wide area networks is preferred.
- Operational knowledge of network and security solutions that meet or exceed command requirements is preferred.
- Five years of military experience is preferred.
The Network Support Specialist will support MARCENT and subordinate commands, providing professional services, supporting communication infrastructure, and ensuring effective network operations within the CENTCOM AOR.
Responsibilities- Provide Network Support services to MARCENT G-6.
- Assist in designing and implementing upgrades and migrations for networks.
- Configure and maintain voice over IP and video teleconferencing equipment.
- Recommend and support new technologies and infrastructure enhancements.
- Coordinate effectively across all organizational levels and classifications.
- Support core hours from 0600 to 1800 Monday through Friday, with availability for after-hours support as needed.
- Maintain system schedules, including weekly maintenance on Thursdays from 1900 to 2300.
- MARCENT, Mac Dill AFB, Tampa, FL
- Willingness to support travel to various OCONUS locations, including CENTCOM AOR countries, with the ability to support travel on short notice.
