Technical WRITER Security Clearance

Position: TECHNICAL WRITER with Security Clearance
We are looking for an experienced technical writer to join our team and elevate our client-focused services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a relevant technical field, such as software development, computer science, or engineering. Responsibilities:
* Create thorough documentation that aligns with organizational standards.

* Acquire a deep understanding of products and services, simplifying complex information into clear, engaging, and polished content.

* Craft user-centric content that addresses the needs of the target audience, transforming insights into accessible language for user success.

* Build and manage a detailed reference database, incorporating research, usability tests, and design specifications.

* Assess existing content and devise innovative strategies for enhancement.

* Conduct research, outline, write, and edit content in collaboration with various departments to understand project needs.

* Collect information from subject-matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.

* Partner with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise and edit content, and find optimal solutions for data organization and centralized storage.

* Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that comply with organizational and legal standards, ensuring smooth data migration.

* Develop content in various media formats for enhanced usability, maintaining a consistent tone across all documentation.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Duty Experience Essential:
* At least two years of experience as a proficient technical writer.

* Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and comprehend complex subject matter.

* Experience writing documentation and procedure manuals tailored to diverse audiences.

* Excellent written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.

* Proven experience collaborating with engineers to enhance user experience (e.g., design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support materials.

* Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.

* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communications, or relevant technical field Preferred:
* Firm understanding of SDLC (systems development lifecycle)

* Previous experience in software development

* Professional certification (ex: Society for Technical Communication)

* Experience in using XML tools to create documentation Security Requirements
* Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance at time of hire Education/Certification Requirements
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communications, or relevant technical field Travel:
* Ability to travel as needed, estimate less than 25%
