Overview
DPR Construction is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Data Analyst to lead the development and management of company-wide dashboards. This role focuses on aggregating and summarizing key metrics, with emphasis on dashboards that support Enterprise Goals & Objectives and other strategic initiatives. The role partners with the data analytics and engineering teams to identify key metrics for company-wide dashboards and to build the framework and consumption layers ensuring alignment with workgroup dashboards.

Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders across all functional groups of DPR.
- Develop a deep understanding of processes, tools, and goals, and articulate how KPIs align with those goals.
- Create, maintain and communicate detailed schedules for KPI development.
- Coordinate technical teams performing KPI development and communicate progress to business teams.
- Establish quality control practices to deliver accurate information to end-users.
- Work with stakeholders to understand and align on business requirements; create and maintain dashboards and apps as required.
- Deliver actionable insights to improve business processes and drive strategic conversations.
- Track and monitor usage metrics to understand adoption and impact of analytics; perform ad-hoc analysis as needed.
- Identify root causes of data integrity issues and troubleshoot visualization tool problems.
- Create complex data models in visualization tools and perform data transformations; query the data warehouse using SQL.
- Clean data as required; identify potential new datasets and integrations between source systems and the data warehouse.
- Collaborate with Technical Analysts to build requirements for views in DBT and the data warehouse.
- Work with Data Engineering to develop and maintain data catalog and documentation of queries, transformations, and refreshes.
- Follow and enhance data security and governance guidelines; manage access to DFLs, reports, and apps; implement RLS where needed.
- Perform change management tasks including impact analysis on reports when source systems or upstream tables change.
- Identify opportunities for data collaboration and AI/ML/Data Science initiatives; prioritize requests based on business impact and resources.
- Provide training to end-users on using dashboards/reports and building reports; promote self-service analytics and data literacy across the organization.
- Act as the data SME for the business, maintaining understanding of data pipeline architecture, source of truth systems, and end-user benefits and limitations.
- Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field plus five (5) years of experience; or Bachelor’s degree plus seven (7) years of experience.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale analytics projects across multiple functional groups.
- Experience guiding business partners through KPI development.
- Construction experience is strongly preferred, with knowledge of industry trends and processes.
- Passion for data and BI principles to optimize business outcomes.
- Proven ability to translate business problems into data requirements and solve complex problems with data.
- Analytic skills: data mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization.
- Ability to create semantic data models and understand dependencies between source systems.
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI required), including creating and maintaining dataflows.
- Experience consuming APIs (REST and Graph
QL) and SQL scripting. - Strong business acumen and understanding of typical company operations to identify opportunities for better decision making.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal, communication (written, verbal, and visual), and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with internal/external clients and adapt to changing environments.
