Senior Information Operations Planning Analyst

The Information Operations Planning Analyst supports integration of Information Operations (IO) planning into MARCENT operational activities in the USCENTCOM AOR. This role provides input and development for IO annexes within operation plans, aligns IO objectives with command strategic goals, coordinates IO planning with CENTCOM and joint forces, and monitors and assesses the effectiveness of IO measures in operational contexts. With 5–10 years of experience and expertise in IO, MISO, EW, MILDEC, STO, and non-lethal targeting, the analyst ensures MARCENT operational planning incorporates and synchronizes IO objectives.

By combining doctrinal knowledge with operational planning experience, the Information Operations Planning Analyst enhances MARCENT’s ability to conduct integrated operations in the information environment.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Provide input and development for IO annexes within operation plans.
  • Align IO objectives with command strategic goals.
  • Coordinate IO planning with CENTCOM and joint forces.
  • Monitor and assess effectiveness of IO measures in operational contexts.
  • Integrate IO elements such as MISO, EW, MILDEC, STO, and non-lethal targeting into planning efforts.
  • Support IO planning conferences and working groups to synchronize operational objectives.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership on optimizing IO integration within operations.

Supplemental Duties:

  • Support training of MARCENT staff in IO planning integration.
  • Capture lessons learned from IO planning and operational activities.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain compliance with MARCENT administrative procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure IO planning documentation is archived according to records management standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Education/Experience/Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 5–10 years of DoD or Intelligence Community experience in Information Operations planning.
  • Expertise in IO, MISO, EW, MILDEC, STO, and non-lethal targeting.
  • Knowledge of joint information operations doctrine and planning processes.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to analyze and align IO objectives with command strategic goals.
  • Proficiency in developing IO annexes and related planning documentation.
  • Strong coordination skills for synchronizing IO planning with joint and coalition partners.
  • Effective communication skills for briefing IO concepts and recommendations.

Location:

Primary workplace is MARCENT Headquarters, Mac Dill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida.

Office environment within a joint military/civilian/contractor staff. Includes participation in IO planning conferences and operational planning sessions.

Physical Demands:

Primarily sedentary office work with extensive computer use. May involve travel to participate in IO planning events and conferences.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday–Friday, 0800–1600.
May require flexibility during operational planning cycles or IO events.

License and Other Requirements:

Valid U.S. Driver’s License. Eligibility for issuance of a Common Access Card (CAC).

TS/SCI clearance required.

Travel:

May include CONUS and OCONUS travel to support IO planning and integration requirements.
