Overview
The Network Services Specialist provides secure and dependable network services support for MARCENT’s communication systems, ensuring reliable operational connectivity. This role configures, monitors, and maintains network service infrastructure, troubleshoots connectivity issues, supports network upgrades and improvements, and maintains documentation of network performance standards. With 3–5 years of technical experience, the specialist applies expertise in maintaining and operating computer systems, Storage Area Networks (SAN), and Network Attached Storage (NAS).
By combining technical proficiency with operational requirements, the Network Services Specialist ensures MARCENT networks remain available, secure, and mission-ready. THIS EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD
- Configure, monitor, and maintain network service infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
- Support implementation of network upgrades and improvements.
- Maintain documentation of network performance standards.
- Operate and sustain Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS).
- Ensure compliance with DoD and MARCENT cybersecurity/network policies.
- Provide input to system performance reports and recommendations for service improvements.
- Assist in developing SOPs for network services operations and sustainment.
- Support lifecycle management of MARCENT network services, including modernization projects.
- Contribute to after-action reviews and lessons learned for network operations.
- Maintain compliance with MARCENT administrative procedures and reporting requirements.
- Archive network services documentation according to records management standards.

Education/Experience/Qualification- High School Diploma required;
Military Technical Schools preferred. - 3–5 years of experience in operating and maintaining computer systems and/or secure enterprise IT networks.
- Expertise with Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS).
- Secret clearance required.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for network connectivity issues.
- Knowledge of DoD network and cybersecurity standards.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with MARCENT staff and documenting processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and network monitoring tools.
Primary workplace is MARCENT Headquarters, Mac Dill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida. Office environment within a joint military/civilian/contractor staff. Includes participation in operational support for MARCENT’s communication and network services.
Physical DemandsPrimarily sedentary office work with extensive computer use. May involve hands-on tasks with network hardware and storage systems.
Work ScheduleFull-time, 40 hours per week. Monday–Friday, 0800–1600. May require flexibility during network outages, upgrades, or surge requirements.
License and Other RequirementsValid U.S. Driver’s License. Eligibility for issuance of a Common Access Card (CAC).

Security ClearanceSecret clearance required.
TravelMay include CONUS and OCONUS travel to support MARCENT network operations and training.
