MUFG Bank N.A. is recruiting for an Associate Vice President, Middleware Cloud Services Engineer in Tampa, FL or Jersey City, NJ. The role involves utilizing software development skills to deliver automation solutions that enable software capabilities across MUFG Bank N.A.

The API First initiative aims to deliver a world-class API platform for banking services, enhancing our product offerings, financial performance, and replacing legacy systems.

The 'Resetting the technology backbone' is a multi-year effort to implement a scalable, secure, compliant, and efficient platform to support future growth, reduce costs, increase speed-to-market, and ensure security and compliance.

The Role

The Middleware Cloud Services Engineer will be a hands-on technical expert responsible for software development, research & development, and operations supporting the Enterprise Integration Platform. The role involves collaborating across various teams to deliver next-generation capabilities in a stable, automated, and cost-effective ecosystem, addressing resiliency, performance, security, and disaster recovery.

This engineer will serve as a point of escalation for operational issues, develop standard operating procedures, write knowledge articles, and contribute to automation strategies following industry best practices and infrastructure-as-code principles.

If you meet the following criteria, we would like to hear from you:

• Bachelor’s Degree required;
  Graduate degree preferred
• Senior certifications in WSO2 desired
• At least 5 years of experience with large-scale mission-critical platforms
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with WSO2 API Manager
• Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-starter with teamwork and customer service skills
• Experience with Scrum methodology and Atlassian tools preferred

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience with large-scale platforms at enterprise or service providers
• Deep knowledge of WSO2 API Manager components and deployment models
• Experience with troubleshooting, custom extensions, and integrations with Ping IDP, OAuth2, JWT, and API security
• Familiarity with Open Tracing, Dynatrace, Open Shift, Kubernetes, Splunk, Spring Boot, Java, Microservices, Docker, REST, SOAP, Postgres, CI/CD, Azure Dev Ops, AWS services
• Nice-to-have: CRI-O experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

The typical base pay range is $112K - $137K, depending on experience and location. The role may include performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, retirement, education, paid leave, and more. For details, see our Total Rewards.
