We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AI/ML Data Scientist to develop and integrate advanced AI and machine learning models into our existing architecture. The objective of this role is to build predictive, prescriptive, and forecasting models, as well as provide capabilities for free-text querying, within a decision support tool used for logistician decision‑making in near‑real‑time operations.
Responsibilities- Develop and integrate AI/ML models using machine learning algorithms and deep learning neural networks to work with Command Common Operating Picture data repositories.
- Provide advanced analytics solutions through visual displays on geographic models/maps and dashboards, supporting predictive and prescriptive analytics, as well as free‑text query capabilities.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure AI/ML workflows support Cyber, Knowledge, and Information Management disciplines, enabling the Decision‑Making Process for Command Staff.
- Build predictive models from large datasets, ensuring alignment with logistics objectives and desired outcomes.
- Design and implement data ingestion and transformation infrastructure to interface with data repositories and support seamless integration with enterprise systems.
- Develop AI/ML models in accordance with enterprise standards, ensuring efficient data sharing across joint enterprise systems.
- Active TS‑SCI clearance.
- Master’s degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent professional or military experience.
- Experience with Advana, Maven, or Databricks.
- Minimum of 8 years of industry experience in predictive modeling, data science, and analytics.
- Experience can serve as a substitute for education.
- Deep understanding of machine learning and deep learning algorithms, frameworks, and tools.
- Strong programming skills and experience in software engineering, particularly in developing specialized AI models for logistics and decision support systems.
- Demonstrated experience with building AI/ML models and integrating them with large‑scale data repositories and decision support platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including Command Staff, to ensure integration and functionality of the AI/ML tools.
- Experience with command‑level decision support tools and logistical data systems.
- Familiarity with Cyber, Knowledge, and Information Management disciplines in a military or operational environment.
