Position: BMT CI DATA ANALYST

Duties

The BMT CI Data & Quality Analyst evaluates data needs and identifies sources to meet a standardized data definition and data dictionary for BMT CI, initially with a focus on Immune Cell Therapies. Will develop consolidated data needs and sources and evaluate database structures and QA/QC tools to perform data analyses and produce reports, identify and troubleshoot data issues and application defects, and identify recommendations for improvement.

Works toward ensuring high quality data capture and consistent data reporting to support research, clinical processes, planning, decision-making and administrative and payer support within BMT CI. These duties require a high degree of critical thinking, communication and follow-through.

  • Work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
  • Exercise independent judgment and project oversight within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree (REQUIRED)
    • Field of Study:
      Life Sciences, Statistics, Database Management/Reporting, Programming
    • Master's Degree (PREFERRED)
  • Minimum Experience

    Required:
    • Minimum two (2) years experience in data management and review and data QA/QC procedures and implementation of data control processes.
    • Experience must include understanding and developing data quality related documentation (e.g. data dictionary), business processes, working with varied computer systems and working with multiple complex databases.
    • Excellent data analytical skills and proficiency in software applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, and one of the following: SQL, SPSS, SAS, R/S-Plus that can be used to identify and provide automated mechanisms to detect, correct, or confirm data problems.
  • Minimum

    Experience Preferred:
    • Ability to learn new software systems and business intelligence tools.
