Data Platform Developer

As a Data Platform Developer, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating high-level design artifacts, deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty.

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Tampa, FL or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of education.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship. Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Strong experience with Starburst (or similar data query engines).
• Experience in large-scale data platform environments.

• Proficiency in Python and/or Java; experience with Angular is a plus.
• Advanced SQL skills and solid understanding of UNIX/Linux environments.
• Proven ability to resolve architectural challenges and optimize Starburst workflows.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide and support developers on Starburst.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
