Applications Support Senior Analyst

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Support Senior Analyst for its Tampa, Florida location.

• Design and develop solutions to complex application problems.
• Develop software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
• Engage in testing and deployment ensuring adherence to best practices in CI/CD pipelines.
• Coordinate installations and upgrades of programs and systems using Git Hub, SVN, Bit Bucket, Harness, UDeploy, Open Shift, ECS, and Kubernetes.
• Use object‑oriented programming and client‑server applications to triage application development and troubleshoot production issues, determine root cause, devise solutions for rapid service restoration, and conduct post‑mortem analysis of outages.
• Use Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, XML, .Net, Java, Web Designing, Windows Scripting, Windows Power Shell, and Python to debug user issues.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, and upgrade interfaces and improve performance supporting Custody and Clearing business.
• Monitor equipment functioning to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications using ITRS Genes, Splunk, and App Dynamics.
• Use Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Teradata to investigate issues, optimize stored procedures for performance, efficiency, and scalability, and identify and resolve performance bottlenecks by fine‑tuning database.
• Conduct crisis management efforts to resolve incidents reported across applications.
• Use Unix shell and Windows Power Shell to develop programs to automate repeatable manual tasks.
• Analyze business requirements and evaluate existing system capabilities to ensure operational requirements are properly addressed.
• Consult on project status, proposals, or technical issues, including software system design and maintenance.
• Provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards.
• Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
• Assist with data processing projects.
• Coordinate installation of software systems.
• Evaluate reporting formats, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
• Create clear and concise documentation, including flowcharts, diagrams, layouts, and software system topology.
• Train users to use new or modified equipment.
• Validate changes in infrastructure and partner systems.
• Review application contingency procedures and test disaster recovery.
• Identify manual touch‑point activities and define target plans to develop auto‑recoverability.
• Telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of progressive, post‑baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, Technology Lead, or related position involving troubleshooting and debugging applications and systems for the financial services industry.
• Experience with systems management and integration; performance monitoring and improvement of applications and systems; troubleshooting and debugging; database management and optimization.
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting, Perl, SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, XML, .Net, Java, web designing, Windows scripting, Windows Power Shell, and Python.
• Experience with relational database management systems:
  Oracle, MS SQL Server.
• Experience with MS Windows Servers, Autosys, Control‑M, Cron job, and Windows Task Scheduler.
• Experience with IBM Web Sphere MQ, Connect Direct, FTP/SFTP.
• Experience with version control and deployment tools:
  Git Hub, ECS, Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring tools: ITRS Genes, Splunk, and App Dynamics.
• At least 4 years of experience with MSaaS Servers, UDeploy, Open Shift.
