Minimum Qualifications- Must possess a current US Passport with ability to travel and work overseas.
- Must be able to meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements available under the OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD Instruction 8523.01 and Air Force Manual 17-1301.
- Must possess a SECRET Security Clearance.
- Full understanding and experience of US Marine Corps structure, capabilities, the Table of Organization and Equipment Change Request (TOECR) process, the Global Force Management (GFM) processes, and implementation of service and joint policy/doctrine.
- Strong writing, analytical, and reading skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate.
- Ten years' military experience.
Under a five-year contract, the Operations and Assessment Analyst will support the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands. The scope includes professional services for MARCENT located aboard Mac Dill Air Force Base (AFB), Florida, supporting the Plans and Policy Directorate (G-5) within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside (OCONUS). The G-5 advises the COMUSMARCENT on joint-level and service-level planning, crisis action planning, force deployment, Information Operations (IO), Special Technical Operations (STO)/SAP, command strategy, doctrine review, and operational assessments.
Responsibilities- Provide operations and assessment analysis services for the G-5.
- Advise the Assistant Chief of Staff, G-5, and support the Commander and staff.
- Execute operational analyses and assessments related to component planning and operations.
- Participate in CENTCOM and Service directed assessments, including the Theater Campaign Plan and Service Campaign Plan.
- Develop General Officer level analysis of force laydown, operations, and reorganization.
- Collect, analyze, review, and recommend lessons learned.
- Review all forward deployed forces’ 60-day assessments, provide feedback, and draft endorsements for two-star review.
- Attend MARCENT working groups and provide recommendations to improve processes and products, including After Action Reports.

- Travel to various countries in support of government requirements, including Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, France, Germany, UK, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Israel, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Djibouti, Cyprus, Turkey, Italy, Greece.
- Availability for travel on short notice to support personnel recovery and training for deployed forces.
