OverviewThe Military Information Support Operations (MISO) / Psychological Operations (PSYOP) Planner position is a full‑time role providing strategic and operational planning, integration, and synchronization of MISO activities with other information forces in the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) as part of Operations in the Information Environment (OIE). The Planner will develop innovative solutions to complex operational challenges, integrate MISO effectively into joint and combined operations, and collaborate closely with SAP/STO, interagency, intelligence community (IC), and military stakeholders.
This position is contingent upon contract award.

Roles and Responsibilities- Provides expert‑level mission analysis and develop operational concepts integrating MISO into joint planning. Develops, coordinates, and executes Military Information Support Operations plans and orders in alignment with USCENTCOM objectives.
- Integrates and synchronizes MISO planning and targeting efforts with broader Information Operations (IO), Civil Affairs, Public Affairs, Cyberspace Operations, Electronic Warfare (EW), Military Deception (MILDEC), and Operations Security (OPSEC) strategies.
- Conducts and facilitates strategic, operational, and tactical planning sessions, leveraging analytical skills to measure operational effectiveness.
- Prepares and delivers clear, concise briefings to senior leadership, stakeholders, and interagency partners.
- Interfaces with industry, academia, and research organizations to leverage emerging technologies and innovative practices in OIE.
- Coordinates PSYOP/MISO actions within the proper military and interagency channels and develop policies that incorporate the principle of C2.
- Develops innovative concepts to counter adversarial use of information in the Information Environment (IE) and consider significant or key cultural aspects that affect operational and tactical planning, security, and risk assessments.
- Applies technical skills to tactical, operational, and strategic level planning/execution, identifying and tracking measures of performance through attainment of measures of effectiveness, and providing advice concerning the application of PSYOP/MISO during the development of operational concepts.
- Reviews, analyzes, and operationalizes tactical and operational‑level OIE‑related directives in support of mission elements.
- Integrates with interagency and intelligence community (IC).
- Integrates, coordinates, and synchronizes adjacent and supporting operations, as well as develop support for related capabilities and their activities.
- Utilizes expert level oral, visual, & written communications and briefing techniques to effectively advise, negotiate and persuade various managers, military officials, and senior leaders to gain acceptance of recommended concepts, ideas, guidance, policies and regulations.
- Integrates MISO/PSYOP into all facets of Combatant Command (CCMD)/ Unified Command level planning, and to ensure that MISO/PSYOP capabilities are considered in the deliberate and crisis action planning processes.
- Plans, develops, integrates, and assesses PSYOP/MISO into campaign plans, OPLANS, and in crisis to ensure that PSYOP/MISO capabilities are considered in the deliberate and crisis action planning processes.
- Experience integrating MISO capabilities into joint and combined military operations
- Proficiency in developing Concept of Operations (CONOPs) and managing internal and external stakeholder coordination
- Deep understanding of Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP), Military Decision‑Making Process (MDMP), targeting, and campaign planning
- Familiar with or trained in Information Operations (IO), Military Deception (MILDEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyberspace Operations
