About

The Role

Peraton requires Network Architects to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 EOM. This position is located at Mac Dill AFB in Florida. The role supports USSOCOM's network enterprise modernization initiatives, providing Operations and Maintenance services to maintain Network Operations (Net Ops); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management;

conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMAC) services.

Responsibilities
  • Performs Tier-4 network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD which requires an extensive background in networking technology.
  • Comprehensively review existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required.
  • Troubleshoot the enterprise voice, video, cloud, and data networks and evaluate the impact of architectural changes on the network.
  • Follow designated network standards for the design, installation, and maintenance of LAN, WAN infrastructures, voice and data network systems, and advanced engineering.
  • Plan, design, engineer, configure, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair the Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN).
  • Triage malware, LAN, WAN, VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems.
  • Provide troubleshooting of enterprise WAN/MAN voice, data, and transmission networks and evaluate the effect of architectural changes on the network.
  • Troubleshoot LAN voice and data networks and evaluate the effect of architectural changes on them.
  • Assess business and application requirements for corporate data and voice networks.
  • Plan, design, and upgrade network installation projects.
  • Establish and maintain backup, version-control and malware defense systems.
  • Troubleshoot network architectures and recommend system fixes and enhancements.
  • Make recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operational costs.
  • Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
  • Min 16 years with HS degree, 14 years with AS/AA degree, 12 years with BS/BA, 10 years with MS/MA, 7 years with a PhD
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
  • Experience with network operating systems (e.g., Cisco, Novell, Windows Server), network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, cabling), and LAN/WAN protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, MPLS)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.

Salary

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000
