Temp Experts is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for a respected law firm in Tampa, FL
. This position supports multiple attorneys within a busy litigation practice, providing comprehensive administrative and legal assistance in both Federal and State matters. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of court procedures and legal documentation.
- Provide legal administrative support to litigation attorneys, including case management, document preparation, and correspondence.
- File pleadings and other documents in Federal and State courts, ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements.
- Manage case openings, conflicts checks, billing, training, and records coordination.
- Draft, proofread, and edit correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents with accuracy and professionalism.
- Track firm, attorney, and client expenses; process reimbursements and payments.
- Assist with client billing, including narrative entry, tracking billable tasks, and preparing final invoices.
- Schedule hearings, court appearances, and client meetings in coordination with attorneys.
- Calculate legal deadlines and ensure timely completion of required filings.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, calls, and emails with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Assist with business development event coordination as needed.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality service to clients, attorneys, and colleagues.
- 3–5 years of law firm experience required, preferably as a litigation legal assistant.
- Strong knowledge of Federal and State court filing procedures.
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Must be able to work onsite; this position is not remote or hybrid.
