Our established Tampa law firm is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our litigation team. This full-time, in-office position offers the opportunity to work in a specialized area of law while supporting attorneys in complex property and litigation matters.

Position Overview
Join our dynamic legal team supporting high-volume property litigation and related proceedings. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Commercial litigation background is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support attorneys in property and commercial litigation matters from initial filing through resolution
  • Prepare and organize legal documents, pleadings, and court filings
  • Coordinate with clients, property owners, government entities, and opposing counsel
  • Manage case calendars, deadlines, and court scheduling
  • Assist with document discovery and case file organization
  • Handle administrative tasks including client communications and file maintenance
  • Support trial preparation and deposition logistics
  • Maintain accurate records in document management systems
  • Process invoices and assist with billing procedures
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of commercial litigation legal assistant experience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Professional demeanor for client and court interactions
  • Detail-oriented with strong proofreading skills

Schedule & Location
  • Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Downtown Tampa location (in-office daily)
  • Overtime opportunities available
