This is an excellent opportunity for a Legal Assistant who is self-motivated, organized, and has at least 5 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate brings leadership skills, sound judgment, and the ability to take ownership of their role in a fast-paced, high-volume litigation environment. Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level legal and administrative support to one of the firm's partners
- Manage calendars and coordinate all scheduling communications with precision
- Prepare and file routine pleadings and legal documents in accordance with court procedures
- Ensure compliance with client guidelines, firm policies, and judge-specific procedures
- Maintain case files, track deadlines, and ensure timely filings with courts
- Liaise professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Use initiative to anticipate attorney needs and maintain workflow efficiency
- At least 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Deep understanding of court rules, litigation procedures, and the Florida E-Filing Portal
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and mentor staff if needed
- Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office suite
