We are seeking an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join our clients growing Tampa office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense, with at least 3-5 years of experience handling a broad range of litigation matters. Key Responsibilities- Handle insurance defense cases from inception through trial, including personal injury, property damage, and other liability matters.
- Provide strategic legal counsel and defend clients in litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials, ensuring the best possible outcome.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy, including settlement discussions and trial preparation.
- Communicate directly with clients, adjusters, and other stakeholders, ensuring consistent updates on case progress.
- Research and analyze legal issues to provide sound advice to clients.
- Maintain accurate and timely case files and billing records.
- JD from an accredited law school.
- 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Strong knowledge of Florida insurance laws and regulations.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Experience handling depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Admission to the Florida Bar.
