Business Associate

Phelps Dunbar is seeking an associate for the Business Practice Group in its Tampa, FL office. The preferred candidate will have 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate and business transactions. The candidate will perform transactional work as assigned, including drafting, and negotiation of documents relating to commercial real estate transactions, including development, homebuilding, purchases and sales, real estate or other asset-based lending and loan documentation work, modification and workout documents, leasing, as well as related due diligence work, including title, zoning report, and survey reviews, and closing these and other real estate transactions.

The applicant should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team. The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up with other team members to complete projects timely is also essential.
