Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–5+ years of experience in commercial or construction litigation/ real estate law/ corporate law to join an established AV-rated boutique law firm in Tampa, FL (Hyde Park area). This role offers hands‑on involvement in complex construction defect and general business litigation matters while supporting two senior attorneys on high‑value cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation filings
  • Assist in managing construction defect
    , commercial litigation
    , and civil litigation matters involving residential, commercial, and public projects
  • Develop and execute case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Handle document review, fact development, expert coordination, and trial preparation
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients regarding case progress and strategy
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 3–5+ years of litigation experience in commercial, civil, business, or construction matters
  • Experience in construction defect litigation preferred but not required
  • Active Florida Bar admission (or imminent eligibility)
  • Strong skills in legal research, writing, drafting, motion practice, and overall case management
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple matters concurrently
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with senior attorneys
  • Certifications such as LEED
    , Board Certification
    , or Construction Management are a plus but not required
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $120,000–$165,000 (commensurate with experience)
