- Strategy and Brand – Maintain knowledge of sector-related industry drivers and trends, regulations, and technologies across North America and globally. Use this knowledge to identify and prioritize opportunities to support our clients with emerging challenges; strategically grow our technical capabilities and people resources to meet client needs; and foster a strong industry brand differentiating Stantec. Implement branding strategies to promote Stantec and the sector;
participate in national and international professional trade organizations; manage conference participation to maximize brand presence. - Delivering Excellence – Recruit and retain a distributed team of sector professionals, across all career levels and geographies. Connect sector practitioners with project managers and delivery experts to plan and deliver high-quality, innovative solutions. Work with Delivery leaders and Water’s Innovation Leader to support digital delivery tools, innovative approaches, and new technologies.
- Positioning and Pursuit – Collaborate with regional growth leaders and account managers to develop relationships with key clients, connect internal subject matter experts to strategic pursuits, and identify new project opportunities related to priority sector growth areas.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinating with the US South Regional Growth Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying and supporting the win of strategic pursuits in collaboration with local Business Center Practice Leaders, Account Managers, and business developers
- Acting as a liaison between local/regional teams and the North American Sector Leader and practice community to leverage technical skills locally
- Reinforcing our brand as a leader in water treatment through active participation in industry organizations, thought leadership, and engagement with strategic clients
- Providing leadership to our water treatment professionals
- Regularly engage with clients
- Actively participate in industry associations
- Leverage understanding of US South market dynamics to support and grow the water treatment portfolio
- Identify how technology changes affect clients and the business
- Collaborate across the region to share knowledge and resources
- Contribute to the North America Water Treatment Team to implement strategy across the continent and bring services from the broader Stantec organization to clients
- Help recruit, retain, and inspire a team of water treatment professionals across multiple levels
- Engage in delivery of water projects as a subject matter expert, leveraging expertise, industry best practices, and innovative technologies
- Work with sector leaders and practice leaders to leverage internal resources for projects and pursuits
- Demonstrate a commitment to the Health and Safety culture within Stantec
The Regional Sector Leader will develop and implement an annual Regional Sector Plan that aligns with the Sector Plan and the Regional Business Plan. The plan will identify key market opportunities, priorities, and strategies to keep Stantec at the leading edge of the industry. Key performance indicators will include metrics specific to the Regional Sector Plan, as well as those applicable to all leaders.
