Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious experienced property damage consultant to open an office in Tampa Florida. Candidates will find this position a healthy balance of autonomy and support to open their own local office while working alongside state and national experts under an industry leading brand.

Founded in 2002 the DBI team specializes in the evaluation of damaged structures. DBIs construction experts provide independent recommendations and analysis to clients in the insurance and legal a complex industry the companys mission is to bring clarity to every client served by DBI through hard evidence expertise and accuracy.

The Senior Project Manager plans directs and provides oversight of construction consulting projects. This role is responsible to ensure that DBI goals and objectives are accomplished within schedule and budget parameters. The position requires considerable judgment and is expected to function effectively with minimal direct supervision.

• Lead all aspects of revenue generation and project execution for Tampa under the DBI way.
• Obtain new clients through strategic marketing efforts in partnership with local Business Development team.
• Organize and manage a project team team workload and project schedules.
• Build effective relationships to drive repeat clients and inspire team member retention.
• Negotiate and finalize the scope and terms of each project.
• Resolve complex technical issues as they arise. Identify risk exposures and their order of magnitude.
• Develop project estimates bids and proposals on a timely and efficient basis.
• Ensure the flow of project information is maintained and documented.
• Perform all other duties as necessary.

Bachelors degree in Engineering Architecture Construction Project Management or related field preferred.

Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in project management within construction and / or property insurance related fields.

Enjoys travelling and building comradery with a response team. Willingness to travel / - 30% of the workweek including 2-3 team leader events per year.

Thrives working in a fast-paced environment both in the office and on project sites including rooftops.

Experience working with Xactimate Bluebeam Revu and Primavera or MS Projects.

Possess a valid drivers license and a satisfactory driving record.

Motivated detail oriented and ready to take on challenges.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Microsoft Office suite especially Excel.

Ability to observe issues and suggest innovative solutions.

Self-directed with the ability to be an effective team leader and maintain a professional demeanor.

Proven organizational skills with exemplary time management.

Technically astute and strategic in thinking.

Ability to work in inclement weather and various environmental conditions.

We get to work outside! Our business requires work to be performed at the site of the property damage including locations where disasters or catastrophes have previously occurred.

This team member may be required to work in elevated areas such as roofs or scaffolding requiring physical agility and balance. During busy periods this may require evening overnight and / or weekend travel and work.

Our teams are packed with safety gear and PPE as they may be subject to but not limited to: outdoor extreme heat cold and precipitation; indoor noise vibrations proximity to moving mechanical parts electrical current chemicals fumes odors dusts mists gases or poor ventilation.

This team member may be required to work in close quarters crawl spaces small enclosed rooms narrow aisles passageways or other enclosed areas requiring physical agility and resistance to claustrophobia.

The team member may be required to climb balance stoop kneel crouch crawl reach stand walk push pull lift finger grasp or feel especially in the course of investigating and assessing property damage; these requirements may include the need to lift weights of up to 50 pounds including a ladder.

The work requires close visual acuity with or without correction to prepare reports containing words symbols and numerical figures; the incumbent is required to view a computer terminal use a keyboard read printed documents make detailed visual inspections perceive color perceive depth and have a sufficient field of vision to carry out all inspection and related duties.
