SSU is currently recruiting for a J33 Battle watch Supervisor – Directorate Task Lead / Senior Journeyman to support U.S. Special Operations Command, Central SOCCENT Operations and Plans Support (SOAPS). This opportunity is contingent upon contract award.

• Supervise and lead the Battle watch Support Team Monday-Friday,  hrs), providing oversight and management of all Battle watch Specialists. Due to the ever-changing requirements of operational necessities within the USCENTCOM AOR, the J33 Battle watch Supervisor must maintain awareness of J3 activities and provide leadership, mentorship, training, and knowledge management requirements to all subordinate Battle watch specialists.
• Resolve and complete all assigned work, tasks and objectives, and reporting requirements on a daily basis.
• Provide a daily summary of all items received through the Battle watch during off-duty hours, as well as compilation of any items received throughout holiday periods.
• Provide leadership and scheduling oversight over all Battle watch Specialists, including providing Battle watch shift schedule to the COR by the last day of each month for the following month, ensuring 100% manning at all times. The report shall be uploaded to ASSIST for Government approval. JOC Battle watch Supervisor shall maintain all relevant training requirements and daily specialized technical support requirements for all Battle watch Specialists.
• Act as an assistant to the Senior Contract Program Manager (SCPM) for all J3 activities occurring within a given timeframe, as well as assist in report compilation and completion as required.
• Monitor, assess, and report the status of all SOF and friendly force current operations in the USCENTCOM AOR as requested.
• Monitor and sustain communications with and maintain situational awareness of all current and ongoing operations and advise the J33 Chief as required.
• Attend meetings as required to provide operational information/status updates to the J33 staff.
• Communicate and coordinate with the planning cells of the Future Operations Section information regarding the Command and Control (C2) status of current operations.
• Provide support and initial response to crisis and appropriate notification across the spectrum of potential events (personal emergencies, physical security, natural disasters, and emergency or military contingencies).
• Ensure full operability of the Battle watch Support Team’s role as the central notification and data-source center for both crisis and other significant, non-routine events, including denial-of-service cyber-attacks.
• Assist with updating and improving Battle watch processes and TTPS.
• The J33 Battle watch Supervisor – Directorate Task Lead is considered Key Personnel.

• MA/MS in one of these Disciplines:
  Social Sciences, Public Policy, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, or Systems Analysis
• Joint Professional Military Education Level II or Service Equivalent;
