Simulator Mechanic

Position: Simulator Mechanic 1

** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
** Read work orders, follow production, and sample assemblies, diagrams, parts lists and receive verbal instructions regarding duties.

Ability to read precision measuring equipment.
** Qualifications and Education Requirements**[High school diploma or general education degree. Airframe’s portion of the FAA A&P license preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
** 3 + years’ experience in aircraft structural repair or flight simulator assembly.
** Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations with other employees of the organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to figure percentages, area, circumference, and volume and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Must have a good knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical hand tools and be able to effectively use them (Hammers, wrenches, screw drivers, pliers, precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers and scales, pneumatic and electric drills, rivet guns, fastening tools such as clamps and clecos shop equipment such as drill presses, brakes, and shears etc.).Must have basic computer skills for time reporting and work order processing.

** Security Responsibilities
**** Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
** This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Ability to stand or sit for long periods.

Ability to lift to 50 pounds. Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
