Senior Maintenance Technician – Refrigeration & Equipment (Tampa, Florida)
Pro Sight Talent is pleased to represent a client in Tampa, Florida, in their search for a Senior Maintenance Technician – Refrigeration & Equipment. This opportunity is ideal for a bilingual skilled technician with deep expertise in refrigeration systems and equipment maintenance who is ready to take on a senior‑level role with a leading organization in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
BasePay Range
$/yr – $/yr
Key Responsibilities- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production lines and utility systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues.
- Calibrate sensors, rebuild pumps, and complete preventive maintenance on compressors.
- Maintain boilers, cooling towers, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Conduct equipment setups and changeovers.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure machinery supports output goals.
- Provide technical support and training to operators on equipment use.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and system logs.
- Adhere to GMPs, OSHA protocols, and company safety policies.
- Monitor and maintain chemical levels in accordance with operational standards.
- Train junior mechanics and operators on proper equipment handling.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate reorders with purchasing.
- Prioritize and complete assigned work orders based on urgency and production impact.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- 10–15 years of experience with ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, and boiler systems.
- Strong Spanish speaking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance software (e.g., Maintain
X). - Ability to read schematics and utilize diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E safety standards.
- Dependable, organized, and proactive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications in CIRO or industrial maintenance preferred. - Experience:
Minimum 10–15 years in manufacturing maintenance, with at least 10 years focused on ammonia systems. - Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel if required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
- Must be able to work in hot/cold conditions and noisy environments.
- Visual abilities including close, distance, and depth perception.
