Manufacturing Electrician - 3rd Shift

Hood Container Corporation is hiring a Plant Electrician for the 3rd Shift (11 p.m.–7 a.m., Monday–Friday).

Pay

Base pay range: $30.00/hr – $33.00/hr

Additional compensation: Weekly pay, competitive base salary based on experience, quarterly bonus, and excellent benefits package.

Are You the Right Fit?
  • Minimum 3 years of electrical experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military setting.
  • Familiarity with CMMS or similar maintenance management systems.
  • Strong understanding of the NEC and ability to work with medium and high voltage (480 V+) systems.
  • Experience with AC/DC motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Confidence in reading electrical schematics, single‑line diagrams, and ladder logic.
Bonus Points If You Have
  • Experience in a corrugated box plant or the paper industry.
  • Skill in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various electrical equipment.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and operator interfaces.
  • Knowledge of power distribution infrastructure.
  • Journeyman electrician license and/or experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Perform electrical maintenance in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Repair and maintain electrical equipment to ensure optimal plant operation.
  • Read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting and installation purposes.
  • Prioritize safety by adhering to strict guidelines and actively participating in the safety program.
  • Conduct preventative, corrective, and unplanned maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with the team to keep production running smoothly.
  • Bring your own tools.
