Core Finisher (1st Shift)

Pay: $18.00 /hr

Duration: 6 months

Shift: Mon – Fri, 5 AM to 1 PM (40 hours/week, overtime on weekends)

Job Description: Carefully file, smooth, and shape ceramic cores using hand tools and precision instruments. Inspect cores for cracks, chips, or dimensional defects, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications. Perform minor repairs, maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, document work performed, and report any quality issues to supervisors and team leads.

• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Read, interpret, and adhere to technical drawings and procedural documentation.
• Perform fine hand‑finishing or similar precision work (preferred).
• Commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Operate machinery and tooling safely and efficiently.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, team player, excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must comply with internal Safety and 6S Standards.
• Detailed oriented; complete understanding of Core Finishing processes (Level I, II, III).
• Perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent with 3–6 months related experience or training.
• Ability to learn and operate injection machines, perform wax injection operations, and place patterns in wax setters or fixtures after injection.
• Reading, writing, speaking, and listening in English.
• Mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, simple multiplication and division.
• Reasoning ability: apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions and solve standardized problems.
• Physical demands: regular standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; lifting or moving up to 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally; near moving mechanical parts; moderate noise; occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
