Carlton Fields is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for its Tampa office.

• Design and implement a functional, secure, and redundant systems infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to systems operations, redundancy, reliability, security, and performance.
• Configure and install software, servers, storage, storage/systems infrastructure, and other network devices.
• Suggest and deploy improvements to systems performance, redundancy, security, capacity, and scalability.
• Monitor systems performance, security, and integrity.
• Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
• Create, oversee, and test security measures.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Be a mentor to team members.
• Exhibit excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrate problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
• Provide after‑hours and weekend on‑call support.

• Strong VMware engineering and administration experience.
• Strong Windows Server engineering and administration experience.
• Strong skills with complex systems infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure as it relates to server and storage integration.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex systems.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
