Position: Machine Operator (2:30pm to 11:30pm)

Mission The Machine Operator plays a critical role in supporting Joffrey’s production operations by safely and efficiently operating packaging and processing equipment. This position contributes directly to product quality, order accuracy, and on-time delivery, ensuring every product reflects Joffrey’s commitment to craftsmanship, consistency, and excellence.

Rate of Pay: $17/hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate assigned production and packaging machinery safely and efficiently to support daily production goals
  • Set up machines and operate equipment at full capacity in accordance with established procedures
  • Make minor equipment and program adjustments such as weight changes, bag length changes, and photo eye adjustments
  • Change film, tooling, and components as required for production runs
  • Monitor products and packaging to ensure specifications and quality standards are met using basic quality control awareness
  • Maintain machines and workstations in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment in accordance with food safety standards
  • Tighten air lines, read meters, and monitor machine performance
  • Perform machine changeovers, basic setup, and breakdown including belts, Teflon, and related components
  • Retest equipment following adjustments or changeovers to ensure proper operation
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), OSHA safety standards, and applicable health and safety regulations at all times
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance and work overtime as required to meet production demands
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and quality objectives
Qualifications

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience as a machine operator or production associate in a food manufacturing, packaging, or industrial environment
  • Experience working in environments that follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety standards, or quality control procedures
  • Exposure to machine setup, changeovers, or basic mechanical adjustments

Required

Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to make minor equipment adjustments
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions, safety procedures, and standard operating procedures
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify quality or packaging issues
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including overtime as needed to meet production demands
  • Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to maintaining regular attendance
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
