SUMMARY
A Ceramic Core Finisher is responsible for the precise finishing, inspection, and preparation of ceramic cores used in investment casting processes. This role ensures that each core meets strict dimensional, surface, and quality standards before being delivered for casting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Carefully file, smooth, and shape ceramic cores using hand tools, , and precision instruments.
- Inspect cores for cracks, chips, or dimensional defects, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.
- Perform minor repairs (patch) or touch-ups to maintain product integrity.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety protocols.
- Document work that has been performed and report any quality issues to supervisors and team leads.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read, interpret and adhere to technical drawings and read procedural documentation.
- Experience with fine hand-finishing or similar precision work preferred.
