Metropolitan Ministries is a grassroots nonprofit serving families in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, and Hernando counties. We provide life‑changing solutions for the homeless and at‑risk population.

The Family Advocate provides mobile case management services, evaluates client needs, coordinates services, and serves as a liaison between clients, community providers, and program staff.

• Provide mobile social work services (home visits) to First Hug families.
• Develop case plans and coordinate all First Hug services.
• Maintain minimum weekly contact and track family progress.
• Maintain client case notes, history, and data with confidentiality.
• Generate and compile client outcomes and reports for funders.
• Maintain professional boundaries and uphold the Code of Ethics.
• Coordinate with Metropolitan Ministries staff to ensure service utilization.
• Meet with community service providers and organizations supporting First Hug families.
• Meet individual goals and contribute to team/organizational targets and KPIs.
• Support holiday tent operations and other assigned tasks.

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in human services and two years of work experience (equivalent education and experience considered).
• Knowledge of homeless issues, mental health/substance abuse issues.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Computer literacy, Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
• Heart for ministry and comfort working with poor and homeless families.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Hearing and speaking ability for effective communication; physical and emotional stamina to handle job‑related issues and stress.

• Salary: $45,000 - $48,000
