A Care Coordinator is responsible for the overall care and coordination of volunteers for a specific Isaiah 117 House location. He or she will equip, encourage, and engage volunteers through volunteer training, appreciation, communication, and will work to foster connection between the location staff and volunteers. The Care Coordinator’s focus is the team of Caregiver Volunteers (those who serve directly with guests in our homes) ensuring our non-negotiable standard, “the way we treat each child who enters an Isaiah 117 House,” is always a top priority.
A Care Coordinator will often assist with the Support Volunteer Team in the absence of a Support Coordinator at a location.
- Overall cultivation and engagement of caregiving volunteers (and support team volunteers in the absence of a Support Coordinator)
- Volunteer appreciation and team building
- Engage volunteers in the location’s on-call schedule
- Coordinate and lead Caregiver Volunteer Training for the location
- Collaborate with Location Leader to connect with potential new caregiving volunteers
- Collaborate with Support Coordinator (if applicable) concerning dual purpose volunteers
- Process and approve all caregiving volunteer applications
- Manage on-call schedule for location staff
- Must share an equal amount of on-call hours with other location staff
- Local travel required
- Attendance at organizational meetings and trainings is required
- Complete continuing organizational education as requested or assigned
- Must have approved office space – this is not a remote/hybrid position
- Ability to navigate stairs may be necessary
- Some heavy lifting may be necessary
- Part-time, 20‑29 hours/week
- Reports to the Location Leader
- Work from the Isaiah 117 home or an approved workspace prior to opening
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft 365
