Weekend Nurse Practitioner
Aviata Health Group is looking for a Nurse Practitioner with Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience to join our team in Tampa, Florida.

Major Responsibilities- Act as the SNF’s leading provider of internal medicine services on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Collaborate with the facility’s interdisciplinary team and physicians to reduce hospitalizations on weekends.
- Work with the entire facility’s patient population – short- and long-term residents – with assistance of nursing staff and guidance from medical directors and attending physicians.
- Perform evaluation of new-admission visits, coordinate discharge visits, and evaluate patients exhibiting changes in condition.
- Provide advanced care planning, comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under protocol for acute and chronic illnesses.
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments; perform comprehensive physical examinations.
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures; facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
- Communicate with attending physicians and/or specialists regarding patient care.
- Healthy work-life balance with flexibility.
- Malpractice insurance and travel coverage ($1MM/$3MM) provided by the company.
- Revenue-split compensation.
- Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) with a valid Florida license.
- Active license and DEA number.
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields.
- Ability to build rapport with patients and their loved ones.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership experience with emphasis on teamwork in a healthcare setting.
- Master’s degree required.
