• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of our Infection Control and Prevention Program in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Help prevent and control the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections.
• Collaborate with center leadership and the medical director to develop, implement, evaluate and re-evaluate annual infection control and prevention goals and plans.
• Assess employees with open lesions or communicable disease for ability to work and any limitations or restrictions.
• Record, track and trend surveillance and investigation of infections; take actions to prevent and control the spread of infections and report to the center QAPI committee.
• Provide innovative, responsible healthcare through creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.

• Minimum:
  Nursing Diploma with RN license from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred:
  Certificate/diploma or degree in nursing, Bachelor's in microbiology or epidemiology, or Associate's degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science; completion of related training (e.g., physicians, pharmacists, physician’s assistants).
• Certification in Infection Control as specified by Appendix PP at F880 required prior to assuming the role.
• Must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.

• Minimum:

• Certification in Infection Control as specified by Appendix PP at F880 required prior to assuming the role.
