• Assists physicians with evaluation, management, and treatment of a wide spectrum of patients.
• Works within a defined scope of practice under the authority of supervising physicians or protocols.

• Provides patient care as member of interdisciplinary team.
• Correlates subjective and objective data to formulate differential diagnosis.
• Formulates treatment plans within scope of practice.
• May perform minor surgical procedures within scope of practice.
• Prescribes oral and IV medications within scope of practice.
• Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules.

• Bachelor’s degree minimum; master’s preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse program.
• Active FL medical license (or ability to obtain one) and national certification by appropriate accreditation body.
• Active BLS.
• Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; department preferred.
