Detox​/Psychiatric LPN

Salary: $32 / Hour

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Detox & Psychiatric Facility | Tampa, FL

The Amergis Tampa Office is currently hiring dedicated LPNs to join our team at a behavioral health and detox facility.

Position Details:

• Pay: $31/hour

  Recent experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, psychiatric, or corrections nursing

• Schedule Options:
  Full-Time / Part-Time / PRN positions

• Shifts Available:
  Days and Nights (12-hour shifts)

• Compensation:

Position Summary:

• As an LPN, you will play a critical role in supporting the emotional, behavioral, and physical well-being of clients. You’ll work closely with:
  Medical Director, RN supervisor, Behavioral Health Technicians, Psychologists/Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Case Managers, Counselors and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions

• Conduct health assessments and document clinical observations

• Support clients through withdrawal symptoms and psychiatric episodes

• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff on treatment plans

• Respond to medical and behavioral crises with professionalism and care

• Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA and facility protocols

• Foster a respectful, recovery-oriented environment

Qualifications:

• Active LPN license in Florida

• Experience in behavioral health, detox, or psychiatric nursing preferred

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

• Must be at least 18 years of age
