RN – Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Surgical Unit

Bay Care Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Surgical unit team at St. Joseph’s Hospital
. As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness.

This unit is responsible for taking care of post op abdominal and thoracic surgery patients.

• Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development.
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
• ACLS Certification, if required by department
• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred

• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
• Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred

• 6 months RN experience is required.
• Experience taking care of tubes, drains, ostomy, and wound care is preferred.
