American Traveler is hiring an RN
- Home Health with skilled home care and infusion experience for a day shift assignment in the Tampa area.
- Skilled home care setting serving Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients
- Caseload of 6-8 home skilled visits per day
- Day shift schedules vary by office needs, including Mon-Fri 8a-5p, Mon-Fri 9a-6p, Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues rotations, and alternating weekends
- Patient population includes high-risk diagnoses such as HF, COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke, as well as general medical and post-op care
- Performs cardiopulmonary assessments, basic wound care, ABI compression dressings, wound vac dressing changes, Pleurx/Aseptdrain care, foley catheter changes, staple/suture removal, glucometer and pro-time machine use, SQ/IM injections, venipuncture, PICC line/Midline care, and SQ port access/deaccess
- Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on office needs
- Uses Bay Care Forms, Bay Care Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation systems
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- 1 year of nursing experience required
- Skilled home health experience required with OASIS training and experience
- Infusion experience required
- IV skills and wound care experience required
- Private duty nursing experience alone will not be accepted in lieu of skilled home care experience
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for home visits
- Provides direct skilled nursing care to home health patients with a range of high-risk and general medical diagnoses
- Any solid color scrub permitted
- Must be COVID vaccinated or have an exemption form on file
- Must have flu shot or signed declination, with mandatory mask wearing at all times while at work if declined
