QAQC Manager

This position is responsible for overseeing and enforcing the project quality control program while managing field construction activities to ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, company standards, and applicable codes. The QA/QC Construction Manager provides leadership, coordination, and supervision of quality-related construction operations to ensure successful project execution.

The incumbent works closely with project management, QA/QC personnel, subcontractors, and clients to ensure quality expectations are clearly defined, implemented, and maintained throughout all phases of construction.

The incumbent must have the ability and flexibility to work varying shifts and long hours (8-12 hours). Weekend work and additional hours may be required based on production needs and at the discretion of management.

• Oversees daily field operations with a strong focus on quality control, ensuring all construction activities comply with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes.
• Implements and enforces the approved QA/QC Plan and ensures all inspection and testing requirements are properly executed.
• Supervises QA/QC Inspectors and field personnel to ensure consistent application of quality standards across all work activities.
• Coordinates with project management, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality requirements are clearly understood and achieved.
• Reviews and verifies inspection reports, test results, and quality documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitors concrete construction activities including formwork, reinforcing steel, embeds, placement, finishing, and curing.
• Ensures proper coordination of field testing activities such as slump, air content, temperature, and strength, and density testing.
• Identifies, documents, and manages deficiencies and non-conformance issues, ensuring timely corrective actions are implemented.
• Leads QA/QC meetings, reviews deficiency logs and punch lists, and provides updates on quality performance.
• Works proactively to identify opportunities to improve quality, reduce rework, and enhance overall project execution.
• Supports pre-construction meetings and collaborates with clients and stakeholders regarding quality expectations and requirements.
• Provides training and guidance to field staff on QA/QC procedures and best practices as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested by management.
