Responsible for completing tasks related to food preparation, service to customers, and maintaining a clean and pleasant dining environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Greet and thank customers.
- Take customer food and beverage orders through verbal communication and/or automated systems.
- Relay orders from the service counter to kitchen staff.
- Cook, prepare, package, and serve food and beverages using kitchen equipment, following food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Stock kitchen and service areas with necessary supplies.
- Maintain salsa bars with sauces, condiments, and utensils.
- Prepare food and beverage orders for customers.
- Handle customer payments and give change using the cash register.
- Unload deliveries of supplies.
- Clean the restaurant interior and exterior, including floors, tables, windows, and kitchen equipment.
- Follow alcoholic beverage laws when applicable.
- Ensure safe public access to the restaurant.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Requirements include:
- Ability to respond promptly to requests and instructions.
- Effective communication with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to understand and react appropriately to others.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and adapt to changing assignments.
- Maintain productivity and a positive attitude under pressure.
- Speak English fluently for positions involving customer contact.
- Learn POS systems, kitchen screens, and recipes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly stand, walk, talk, and hear. Frequently handle and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift 25-50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Moderate to high noise level. Conditions vary by season and time of day. The environment can be lively and dynamic.
Positions include Team Member, Cashier, Cook, Line Server, Grill, Host/Hostess.
