The Inventory Specialist supports the warehouse manager by conducting cycle counts, inventory analysis, and updates to ensure inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate is professional, a self‑starter, knowledgeable in inventory controls, and flexible in a fast‑paced environment, processing multiple requests efficiently.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities- Perform daily inventory cycle counts.
- Monitor and ensure inventory integrity, investigating discrepancies and recommending process improvements.
- Maintain product identification and location within the system.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve procedures.
- Spot‑check Receiving Team processes for proper labeling and blind receiving.
- Monitor inventory for stock rotation, near‑dated or expiring product; communicate with sales and operational leaders as needed.
- Input new products into the system.
- Assist Corporate Purchasing Team with inventory analysis and coordinate with Sales Managers on inventory needs and orders.
- Audit outgoing shipments to major vendors.
- Communicate supplier out‑of‑stocks and other inventory issues to appropriate managers.
- Perform vintage and miscellaneous inventory checks for the sales team.
- Monitor driver check‑in processes and recommend improvements.
- Support monthly and quarterly inventory counts (planning, organizing, communicating, counting, paperwork flow).
- Data entry to track errors and breakage.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong time‑management and anticipatory skills.
- Positive attitude when working with others in the organization.
- Strong work ethic focused on accuracy and quality in a team environment.
- Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
