• Open and close the store in the absence of management, handling all required system start‑ups, cash procedures, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready.
• Open the back door for deliveries.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients, greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
• Assist and coach team members with warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including the back‑door for vendor deliveries.
• Register all sales on the assigned cash register, noting scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
• Assist management with reviewing order exceptions on release day and in reverse logistics (e.g., returns, empty packages).
• Assist with evaluating and developing displays for promotions, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantities for basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
• Help ensure the Outdate program is followed.
• Handle basic department pricing and daily price changes; display proper signage and comply with local regulations and compliance programs.
• Assist in bookkeeping activities including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payments as requested.
• Perform exterior and interior maintenance, keeping the store clean, neat, and orderly, and request repairs as needed.
• Separate food items (raw vs. pre‑cooked) and manage product placement per policies, using FIFO and restock outs for consumables.
• Possess working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Assist at the pharmacy out window as required.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco).
• Conduct bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by management.
• Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members, communicating tasks when management is absent.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Not required in Puerto Rico)

• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• Consideration of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
• Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
