This sales position will provide various types of industrial hardware directly to customers within a defined geographic territory through cold‑calling and prospecting activities. Must reside within territory.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop new sales prospects through research, referrals, and calling businesses near existing customers.
  • Make face‑to‑face calls on cold and warm prospects.
  • Service customers following company training materials.
  • Submit complete and accurate daily business reports of sales orders and prospect calls.
  • Present products and services to existing and prospective customers using sample boards, product demos, and the mobile store.
  • Maintain cleanliness, operation, marketing, and functionality of the mobile store.
  • Maintain customer contact information via company software (notes, names, phone, email, address).
  • Provide a fully insured vehicle, insurance, fuel, maintenance, and required technology (mobile devices, tablets, iPad, phone).
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Outside industrial sales experience preferred, especially in route or industrial sales.
  • Proven history of goal attainment.
Required Skills
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills.
  • Detail‑oriented.
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas and information in written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications.
  • Working knowledge of the products sold is helpful.
Other Requirements
  • Must be able to purchase or lease an approved vehicle (mobile store).
  • Must reside within territory.
  • Above‑average mechanical interest.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Ability to kneel and bend down regularly.
  • Clean driving history.
  • Conduct oneself professionally when representing the company (e.g., driving approved vehicle, wearing company attire, attending company functions).
