About the role

Change people’s lives and love what you do at Cochlear, the most recognized brand in hearing health care, helping people hear and be heard around the world. You will work closely with VA and DoD professional partners, regional B2B and B2C sales teams, Reimbursement, Marketing, and other internal partners to support territory growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical, surgical, technical, and product support across Cochlear's portfolio, including device programming, candidacy, medical and surgical inquiries, and device troubleshooting.
  • Develop trusted relationships with VA and DoD professional partners by applying government clinical practice guidelines, access pathways, contracting requirements, and purchasing processes.
  • Create and execute territory plans that identify growth opportunities, strengthen referral pathways, expand awareness and demand, and achieve assigned sales and unit targets.
  • Deliver local and national education and training, execute sales initiatives, maintain timely territory reporting and forecasting, manage expenses, and consistently use required sales tools.
Key Requirements
  • Master's degree in Audiology or Au.D degree.
  • Two or more years of Cochlear ACTM/CTM I experience
  • OR three or more years of hearing healthcare sales experience, including sales planning, budgeting or forecasting, and responsibility for a revenue quota or target.
  • OR Three or more years supporting audiology and surgery in a government setting.
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise, operating-room proficiency, foundational business acumen, learning agility, and ability to influence.
  • Strong prioritization, organization, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60%, including overnight stays, for territory support and training.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Depending on territory coverage requirements, must also have access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Must meet all credentialing requirements to obtain hospital and surgical center access.
Total Rewards
  • Pay Range in the United States: $88,000 - $95,000 annually, based upon experience, as well as a generous commission opportunity. Exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
  • Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance as well as 401(K) matching with immediate vesting, Paid Time Off, tuition reimbursement, maternity and paternity leave, Employee Stock Purchase Plan and pet insurance.
Who are we?

Human needs have always been our inspiration, ever since Professor Graeme Clark set out to create the first multi-channel cochlear implant because he saw his father struggle with hearing loss. We always start with people in mind - thinking about their needs. For this reason, our products, services and support will continue to evolve and improve. We are by our customers' side through the entire hearing journey, so they can experience a life full of hearing.

Our employees tell us that the number one reason they enjoy working for Cochlear is the opportunity to make a difference to people's lives and working in an organization where they can be part of bringing the mission to life each day.
