Environmental Specialist II in the Department of Environmental Protection's Permitting Program, located in Temple Terrace, FL. The role reviews and evaluates Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) applications for compliance with state and federal regulations, produces permits and technical documents, conducts site inspections, manages database entry, and provides regulatory assistance to permit tees and other agencies.
Key qualifications:- At least 4 years of verifiable related experience in environmental or natural sciences (or post-secondary degree may substitute year-for-year)
- Knowledge of environmental terminology, principles, and analytical techniques; ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret technical data
- Ability to prepare technical reports and use personal computer with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to understand and apply environmental regulations, policies, and procedures
- Valid driver license and willingness to travel
- Experience with ERP Program activities (preferred)
