    Part-Time, 3rd Shift
  • Shift Days Available:
    Monday through Sunday
  • Shift Times: 19:00-07:00
  • Starting Compensation: $18 to $21 per hour
  • Training: 27 hours of paid training between minimum wage and $18/hour.
  • Final Interview Process: 4-hour unpaid Pre‑Hire Orientation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
Minimum Qualifications and Education
  • In possession of an approved Florida Class "D" license from the DOACS.
  • In possession of the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Evidence of high school diploma, college degree, or valid state GED certificate.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
  • Minimum one (1) year of security or supervisory‑related experience.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Possesses reliable, personally owned transportation and can commute to various job sites as assigned.
  • 24/7 access to a smartphone (Android, iPhone, or Windows) and a computer with internet access.
  • Intermediate computer skills including emailing, web browsing, MS Word, and Adobe PDF.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Self‑motivated and resourceful. Able to prioritize and accomplish job‑related tasks.
  • Strong English communication skills, including reading and writing: reading and interpreting complex instructions and procedures (SOPs, post orders, statutes, laws, and regulations).
  • Ability to safely work in a variety of environments, including commercial and industrial locations.
  • Ability to obtain personal uniform items as necessary.
  • Good physical condition, capable of walking up and downstairs in limited space areas, working in traffic control areas, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and wear the complete and clean assigned uniform, covering any exposed tattoos. Adhere to grooming standards per SOP. (Check grooming and appearance policies).
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background investigation.
  • Complete all mandated training in accordance with deadlines and responsibilities.
Preferred Skills
  • Possession of an approved Florida Armed Class "G" Security License issued by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (DOACS) and completion of an approved State of Florida 28‑hour Armed Security Officer Course.
  • Working knowledge of maritime security enforcement guidelines, including MTSA and laws, regulations, and ordinances governing Hillsborough County.
  • CPR and first aid certifications or ability to obtain them.
  • Prior veteran, military/law enforcement experience preferred. Documentation supporting entitlement to preference must be provided at the time of application.
